How to compare perfume prices properly in the UK

Most perfume price comparisons fail at the product-matching stage. Retailers use similar names for different concentrations, bottle sizes and package types, then place them beside the same recommended price. The cheapest listing may not be the same bottle.
Match the bottle before the price
Start with the concentration and bottle size. Eau de toilette and eau de parfum are separate products, even when the brand gives them the same name. A tester, refill or gift set is separate again.

Check the retailer page before paying. The product title, bottle image and description should all agree. If they do not, trust none of them until the retailer confirms what it is selling.
Ignore the advertised saving
A percentage discount is only as useful as its reference price. Recommended prices and crossed-out prices do not tell you what competing retailers charge or whether the same bottle was cheaper recently.

Short histories deserve caution. A recorded low becomes more informative as the site gathers more observations. Until then, compare the current retailer spread and treat dramatic sale labels as decoration.
Compare the checkout total
Our tracked figure is the item price. Before choosing a retailer, add delivery and check whether a voucher depends on a membership, subscription or minimum basket. A lower product price can lose once those conditions reach the checkout.
Returns and seller identity matter too. A small saving is poor compensation for an anonymous marketplace seller or unclear return terms. We restrict comparisons to named retailers, but you should still confirm who fulfils the order.
