# All of Me or All of Me Intense? The Intense costs more than twice as much

> Narciso Rodriguez sells both at 30 ml, 50 ml and 90 ml. At 30 ml the standard eau de parfum is £24.50 and the Intense is £55.50, which makes this the rare case where the small bottle is the best value.

Narciso Rodriguez All of Me and All of Me Intense sit side by side at six UK retailers in matching sizes, and at 30 ml the Intense costs more than twice as much.

£24.50 against £55.50. That is 82p a millilitre against £1.85, for two bottles with the same name in the same size.

## The gap narrows as the bottles get bigger

At 50 ml it is £60.00 and £81.00. At 90 ml it is £93.75 and £113.10.

So the premium for the Intense runs from 127% at 30 ml down to 21% at 90 ml. Whatever you think the Intense is worth, it is worth a very different amount depending on which size you happen to be looking at.

## The 30 ml is the best value here, which is unusual

Work out the per millilitre price across the standard eau de parfum and it goes 82p at 30 ml, £1.20 at 50 ml, £1.04 at 90 ml.

The smallest bottle is the cheapest per millilitre. That is the opposite of [the pattern almost everywhere else in the catalogue](/blog/perfume-price-per-ml-uk), where the travel size carries a heavy premium.

Worth being straight about why: we cannot tell you. Every size in this range currently sits at the lowest price we have recorded for it, so this is not one bottle being on offer while the others sit at list. The 30 ml is simply priced low against the rest today, and our record is only a few days deep.

Which is the point. Size rules describe how things usually sit. A live price beats them, and that is the reason to check rather than to follow a rule.

## What Intense actually means here

Nothing standardised. Eau de parfum concentrations are set by the brand, so "intense" is a product name rather than a measurement, and it does not map to a fixed percentage of fragrance oil. We went through the same problem in more detail on [Givenchy L'Interdit](/blog/givenchy-linterdit-which-bottle-uk), where five bottles at 35 ml span £33.

Practically: they are two different compositions. Smell both if you can. Do not buy the Intense on the assumption it is the same thing with more of it, and do not treat the price gap as a quality gap.

## Before you buy

Confirm whether the listing says Intense, because at 30 ml that single word is a £31 decision. Then compare that exact bottle across shops rather than comparing the two products against each other.

All prices here come from our own reads of the retailers' product pages and update as those prices change.
